Status Update:

1,204 brand new words today in my WiP. Sometimes—okay, all the time—a writer will have a destination in mind for the story, but no idea how the characters will get there. And sometimes, the characters, rather than go their own way and be annoying individuals with their own ideas, actually do what they should. They help author to his predestined point while staying totally in character... even finding new depths to their fictional personalities along the way. That happened this morning. I don't expect it to happen again.
