Words like AND, OR and NOT—"Boolean operators"— can improve your results with search engines. AND: Use it when you want to find entries that include multiple topics, such as "sun AND rain." OR: For entries that might have either or both topics, type "sun OR rain." NOT: For entries that cover one topic and definitely don't cover the second, type "sun NOT rain." Don't type the quotation marks we used above—if you do, the search engine will look for the phrase within the quotes; for example, you'd only get pages with "sun and rain" in the text. Be sure to type AND, OR and NOT in capital letters. |
